Something for the little Monsters

Whether you are planning to spend your half term holiday with the kids at home or abroad, we have put together our top five family friendly destinations and ghostly goings on to keep your little monsters thoroughly entertained.

Fun things to do with your little monsters this half term!

1. Become spellbound at Disney

Why not celebrate the spookiest season of the year with Mickey and friends at a Halloween Party with a Disney twist. Expect tricks and treats aplenty, as you don your costumes and walk the pumpkin lined streets of the park. Meet Disney’s deadliest villains and enjoy a spine tingling, other worldly adventure, a treat for all the family.

2. Seek out the Sun

The summer may be over and we are already wearing our wooly hats, scarves and gloves but if you are craving some fun in the sun head for the Canary Islands, where the weather is mild and spring-like all year round. Not only are the Canary Islands’ home to an array of family friendly resorts but they also boast world class beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. If you are after an easy going escape with the family- this is definitely the place to be!

3. Enjoy an English Escape

There is no better time to explore the beautiful English countryside than in Autumn when the trees put on a brilliant display of colour as their leaves turn from glowing green to brilliant tones of burnt orange and red. The perfect time for long walks outdoors, taking in the sights and sounds of the landscape. For idyllic rural retreats head to Sussex, Kent or Surrey where the little ones can really get to grips with the natural world and the big ones can enjoy an escape without travelling too far from home!

4. Ghostly Goings on in the Capital

Step inside the enchanting world of Harry Potter and explore some of the spookier side effects from the films by taking the studio tour with a seasonal twist. Find out how unicorn blood is made and take a look at the iconic ghost costumes from the series in the Great Hall,  aptly awash with toffee apples and pumpkins for the occasion.  Avoid the queues for the shuttle bus and book a car direct at www.british-airport-transfers.co.uk

5. Pizza in Sicily or Sardinia

The South of Italy and the Islands of Sicily and Sardinia enjoy long hot summers and mild winters. Often, you can still take a dip in the sea in October, making it a perfect October half term destination. Sardinia is actually located nearer to the coast of Africa than Italy and has beaches that rival the ones found in the tropics. Feast on pizza cooked in the wood fired oven and steaming pasta with plenty of cheese in either of these Italian Islands and you will not be disappointed!
