Whether you're travelling for business or pleasure, spending time at Heathrow doesn't have to be watching departure boards. Once you get through security, make sure you check out some of Heathrow's great food offerings.
Terminal 1
If you find yourself in T1 in the morning, skip the crowds at Pret and head to Caviar House & Prunier Seafood Bar. You can start your day with caviar or their renowned Balik salmon, washed down with champagne or their cafe gourmand.
Terminal 2
All eyes are on T2 since Heston Blumenthal opened The Perfectionist's Cafe last June. However, don't forget The Gorgeous Kitchen, which features guest chefs throughout the year, meaning you'll always get a fresh, delicious meal before your flight.
Terminal 3
With great decor and equally fabulous food, Oriel French Restaurant and Bar is an excellent place to start your travels. It also boasts a great cocktail bar, perfect for a pre-flight tipple. If you aren't in the mood for a big meal, have a quick bite at Caviar House & Prunier Seafood Bar.
Terminal 4
Like T1, you can happily get your travel started at Caviar House & Prunier Seafood Bar in T4. However, if you're looking for more atmosphere, consider heading to either end of the terminal. Near Gate 7, you'll find the very British Dining Street Restaurant, while near Gate 19, you can try either Comptoir Libanais or Carluccio's.

A far cry from a kitchen nightmare, Gordon Ramsay's Plane Food is a must try in T5. The big name chef's offering here is highly styled, with just the right amount of flair. If you don't have time to sit down for a meal, treat yourself to the three-course takeaway picnic to enjoy on the plane.
